What's up hawkers — I had a few people email me about the skid plate I feature in the Hawk 250 shop. I haven't been able to buy this one for my own bike yet (waiting for the budget), but a very helpful user from our Hawk Facebook page was nice enough to install his and take pictures of the whole process.
A skid plate protects the underside of your engine and frame from rocks, logs, and hard landings — essential if you take your Hawk on real off-road trails. The bolt-on install is straightforward with basic hand tools and takes under an hour.
