What’s up fellow hawk 250 owners and future ones. Sorry for not updating this blog as much as I should, I just have been super busy with work that I haven’t had a chance to keep the blog updated with my hawk 250 content. My hawk is still going strong and every time I get on it, I have a great time riding in the Catskills. Some information on my hawk 250, I purchased my hawk in Dec 2015.

I couldn’t find any information on the hawks online, there wasn’t as many videos and blogs as there is now =). We ended up ordering 3 of them, my cousin, buddy and I got one. We ordered the black, red and blue hawk 250cc dual sports. I have now ordered 7 hawks for buddies from the website TXPowerSports.com and they haven’t had any issues with their orders. I always recommend paying for the expedited shipping offer if you are looking to get it as fast as possible.

Some information on Hawk250.com. This blog isn’t run by the distributors of the hawk 250. This is a personal blog I started when my buddies and I got our hawk 250 dual sport bikes and I wanted to share our experience with the dirt bikes and the mods and upgrades we did to them. The best way to find information on this blog is to use the Search on the top. If you search “Exhausts” for example you will find all the blog posts I did about the hawk 250 exhaust upgrade.

Hawk 250 Upgrades

The good thing about the hawk 250 dual sport bike is that the upgrades are fairly priced. The most expensive thing I purchased was the exhaust for $160 but it was worth every penny. I also see TX Power Sports sells hawk 250 replacement parts and that is a good sign that you can get original hawk 250 parts also if you need.

My hawk 250 is around the 4800 mile range and it’s still running strong. I haven’t had any major issues with it. This bike does require a bit more upkeep so you don’t break down. So I only recommend these bikes to people who like working with their hands and getting them dirty.

If you just like to sit on the bike, turn it on and go every day without ever checking the bolts, nuts, wiring etc.. then this bike isn’t for you.

This bike is so easy to take apart and go over everything, I enjoy taking the time checking everything on the hawk in the garage with a few beers and some music. If you treat her right, she will ride you forever =).

June 14th 2018 30 Minute Ride

Just a quick post to share my hawk 250 ride back from June 14th, it was a beautiful day for a ride. The video below is about 30 mins of straight riding solo on my hawk 250 dual sport bike. It ran great and no issues, other then a few days later when I noticed my hawk sounding bad and it was due to a loose exhaust header connection bolts, so always MAKE sure to check your bolts and nuts. I’m so happy it was a simple fix and my hawk is on the road sounding and running great.

Hawk 250 – Upgrading to 115 Carb Jet and Oil change

Decided to finally swap out the 110 jet with a 115 jet on my hawk 250. It takes only a free minutes to swap out the jets on these carburetors from Hawk 250 shop. You don’t need to drill out the screws to make adjustments or replace the jets.

Then I did oil change on the hawk 250 and was getting ready to do a quick ride but after checking the bike I noticed a bolt that snapped off. I might have tightened it too much and from all the vibration it just snapped. I need to find a stronger replacement for that bolt and nut.

Below us a picture of my hawk 250 bike with the bolt head missing.

This is my buddies hawk 250 and how the bolt should look :). I have emailed therps.net and hopefully they have replacements but maybe I’m better of finding a stronger USA made bolt and nut to relace this China one.

Hawk 250 Spring Maintenance 2018

I spent the last few days working on my street hawk 250 black dual sport RPS bike. I did a lot of riding the last winter and never really cleaned it after the rides, too cold and lazy. So she the hawk started to get some rust spots and I wanted to do a hawk 250 spring maintenance to get her ready. Below is just a few pictures of the work I did on the hawk 250. If you guys follow me on instagram or facebook, you will see more pictures and videos I share as I’m working on the dirt bike.

I just want to thank everyone again for all the support I got for running this website, it takes a lot of time to get it all setup and maintaned. I really like seeing all the hawk 250 pictures you guys send me and the updates on what you have been doing, keep it up. If anyone wants to share their hawk 250 review, please send me a email with your review and a few images. I will get it posted right away.

Sunday Funday Crusing Over 200 Miles With Hawk 250 RPS

Today was a long fun day of riding in the Hudson Valley and Catskills NY. We finished up with 215 miles for the day. We started around 9pm and wrapped it up 7pm. The Hawks handed really well in the heat and I’m 250lbs and we cruised most of the time in the 50s to 60mph.

Here are some images from today’s ride.

Hawk 250 Feb 2018 Update

What’s up fellow hawk 250 owners. Sorry for being a ghost but work has been super busy and that pays the bills so I been focusing on that.  Last time I had the chance to ride my hawk 250 was back in October.

Couple days ago I decided to make some time for my hawk 250 to change the oil. It’s been sitting for a while. I normally like to change my oil every 300 to 500 miles since it’s cheap to change.

The battery on the hawk was dead like always because I’m lazy to install one of those trickle charges or whatever it’s called lol.

But my hawk 250 loves me and she always starts up with the kickstart, sometimes she turns on quick and sometimes she needs more loving.

I got the oil changed but didn’t really get a chance to ride it. Most of the air from the tires was gone and I wanted to do a full checkup of bolts, wires and screws before doing any riding.

Here are some pictures from that day. Hopefully I will find more free time to update this blog for you guys. Sorry if I don’t get back to everyone on emails, you can always try me on instagram or facebooo.

She is filthy from all the woodworking I have been doing in the garage. She needs a nice wash.

I did have a issue at the end of the summer when my gas tank started leaking at the valve. My jb weld is still going strong.

Two Hawk 250 Owners Cursing 40 Miles Hudson Valley

Here are two short videos from our recent ride. We had the black and blue hawk 250 on the streets pinned to the max for most of the ride. They handled great as always. We just froze our asses off since it was only 40 out and as we got higher in the mountains it just got colder.

I will be uploading more footage from this ride over the next few days.

This is a time lapse video of the two hawk 250 dual sport bikes in action. The video is only about 4minutes. It shows the 40 mile ride to our buddies house who owns the red hawk 250. His baby won’t start right now, we are thinking its the stator and he is waiting to order one

This is a short clip of a dead end we hit with the hawk 250. We hit a seasonal road, which was about 2 miles long, we were tired and cold and I didn’t want to go down being 30 miles from the house. So we had to turn around and found another way home. I have a second hawk that I will be using for situation like these, where I won’t worry about dropping it since it will be just for off-raoding.

Just Got My First T-Shirt

What’s up hawk 250 riders, I have been working on a new logo for some shirts and hoodies. This is my first sample ordering. This shirt came out pretty cool. This hawk 250 logo colors look better on lighter color clothing but I do have another logo that works with darker colors. You can find them in my hawk 250 clothing shop.

Here are some quick pictures I took while I was working on changing my hawk 250 air filter to the K & N high performance air filter.

Recent YouTube Uploads of My Hawk 250

These are some videos I recently uploaded to my YouTube channel. Thank you for all your support and comments you leave on my website and social media accounts. I started this blog when I got my hawk back in Dec 2015 and I never thought it would get this big and that I would meet so many other hawk 250 owners =).  Email me if you have any questions about my blog or my hawk 250 dual sport bike.

This was a recent ride I did in Feb, it was a nice day and went out for a cruise. I found a seasonal road and it was very slippery with the stock hawk 250 tires and the amount of thread life I have on them but I still went for it, I got up the hill but very slowly lol.

This is another seasonal road by my house that I like ride. This day it was very wet and muddy and again with the stock tires I had issues. I need to save up some money and get a new set of tires soon for my hawk 250.

Some clips from my iPhone of me messing around on my driveway in the snow.

This was from anther ride when I had another hawk rider with me, it was the blue hawk 250. This rider isn’t a fan of riding in the snow, so we had to turn around and I was glad because I wasn’t’ ready to go down lol. We were about 40 miles from my house and I didn’t want to get stuck

Morning Ride with 2 Hawk 250s and a Suzuki DRZ4000 Bikes

Great day riding today with Bek and MotoMania_420. Moto hooked us up and changed our cheap spark plugs. Started riding around 1030am.

Took a ride to a motorcycle dealer ship for some oil for the Suzuki DRZ400. We checked out some motorcycles way out of our budget. The Honda dealer ship was impressed with the hawk 250 RPS dirt bikes and was interested in importing them and parts, that would be nice.

Getting some of that super fuel. Motomania_420 flexing them muscles.

While Moto changes his oil on the Suzuki DRZ400,  Bek and I getting some cheeseburgers.

Then we got some milkshakes from the Mobil gas station. The cookies and cream is the one I usually go for.

Went back to MotoMania_420 house and he saw the milkshakes and we had to come back and get him one.

After destroying the milkshakes, we hit up route 52 and pulled over by the overlook by SAMs point.

Moto getting some hotdogs.

The hawk 250 and Suzuki DRZ400 make a nice couple.

Bek had to go home to do some laundry, so MotoMania_420 and I hit some rocky downhill trails and my damn battery died on the camera and I missed some good footage. I was able to get a picture instead of the hawk 250 RPS and Suzuki DRZ400 with a beautiful scenic background.
