Back Yard Fun During Gazebo Build
Whats up hawk 250 familia, just a quick post on some new YouTube videos I uploaded from todays quick session on the hawk 250 while working in my backyard.

I purchased my Hawk in June of 2016 From 360 power sports in Texas. I payed $1300 Shipped to my door. I never Road a bike before this is first one. So far I read up on it and everything I needed to do to upgrade it to be a little better performance was pretty good. As Soon as i got the Bike Within a week I bought a 16T front Sprocket, Put upgraded carburetor on it, Put LED Rear lights, Hand Guards, Upgraded Shift Lever, NEW OIL INSTANTLY 15w40. I do get some valve tapping And Tried to adjust them down to .03 and .04 But they still tap. I think it’s Just the Bike. It doesn’t cause any performance. Putting the Upgraded CARB AND SPROCKET is a MUST. best thing I did to bike Honestly.
I haven’t had ANY Major issues with Bike EXCEPT the Bike Sucks Trying to Get INTO NEUTRAL. I’m 280lbs stocky guy and with all upgrades and thing’s i have added i still get to 60mph and it has very good Low end Torque. FOR the price of this Bike and probably $100 TO START in upgrades You can’t beat it.. When u get more into the Bike you Can do more Upgrades like exhaust for $160 and digital odometer $100. Over All Amazing Bike and I would recommend this bike for a Beginner or someone who don’t have a lot of money to get a Name brand.

Great find by MotoCheez for some Hawk 250 RPS Dual Sport storage options. This was a quick installation and it can fit a lot of tools or whatever you want to store in there for your ride on the hawk 250. It also makes it look like you have dual exhaust on your hawk 250 dirt bike with this buritto tube.

Whats up fellow hawk 250 owners. I got a few emails about the hawk 250 aftermarket exhaust and mikuni carburetor being out of stock. I have checked amazon and right now it seems they are all out of stock. I’m sure they will get them back in a week or so. How to Change Sprockets on Hawk RPS 250
This short
guide will show you the steps to change your sprockets on your Hawk RPS 250 Enduro dirt bike. The sprockets I went 
with are JT Sprockets 45T and JT Sprockets 17T. You can purchase Hawk 250 Upgrades by clicking here. You will also find other Sprocket sizes depending on your needs.
Step 1. You will need to remove your rear tire and the cover for the front sprocket on top of the gear shiftier. There are 2 bolts holding the cover for the front sprocket.
Step 2.
The next thing I worked on was the rear tire. You will need to remove the 4 bolts holding the sprocket and the clip (red arrow).
It could be a pain to remove the clip if you don’t have the right tools for the job, which is what normally happens to me lol. I was able to get it off but it wasn’t pretty. I’m sure there are needle-nose pliers to make the job easier.
Put the new sprocket on and make sure it sits on straight and then put the nuts on and after that the clip. Check the sprocket after to make sure its not on a angle or misaligned.
Step 3. Once you have removed the cover for the front sprocket, you will need to remove the 2 small bolts and then turn the clip holding the sprocket until it comes off.
Once you have removed the old sprocket, put the new one and put it back together the same way. Rotate the clip until it lines up with the bolt holes and make sure its secured.
With the front sprocket I put on my hawk 250, I had to grid off some of the metal on the cover so it could be put back together. You might be able to put it back without grinding it but a few members have reporting having to grind the edge to clear it.
You can see below where I had to grind some metal off the cover case.
Disclaimer: I have no mechanical experience when it comes to working on motorcycles. Everything I have learned has been from either breaking it and needing to figure it out to get back on the road or watching youtube videos. I’m sure there are better methods to do some of the stuff I’m showing you here but this is how I got it done and it worked for me.
